Snow & Ice

The Town clears all roads inside its corporate limits starting with major arterials, and working toward collector streets. The amount of snowfall will determine how quickly we will be able to reach side streets.  The Public Works Department strives to promptly and effectively respond to a snow event, and your patience is greatly appreciated.  You may report any hazardous road conditions to the Orange County Sheriff's Department at (540) 672-1234 and they will forward the information to us.

Our fleet consists of over 12 pieces of snow fighting equipment, with around-the-clock operation when needed. We have two crews that rotate during a snow event.
