Whom do I call before I dig?
Please call MISS Utility of Virginia at (800)552-7001 or 811 before you dig or excavate! This will prevent vital and costly utilities from being damaged as a result of not knowing where utility lines are located.

What do I do if I suspect a water leak?
Call the Public Works Department at (540) 672-4791. After hours, please call the Orange County Sheriff's Department at (540) 672-1200.

What should I do if I have low water pressure?
Low water pressure can occur for several reasons. If you experience low water pressure, you may call the Public Works Department at (540) 672-4791. We will check the pressure at our meter to determine if the pressure problem is a result of the Town's water system or something within the properties lines.
5.
Can you pick up furniture, appliances, etc with the regular trash pickup?
Generally, no. Regular pickup only includes two - 39 gallon cans or two - 39 gallon trash bags. Anything over and above this amount would be considered an extra pickup and may incur charges of a minimum of $50.00. If you wish to have a special pickup, you may call the Public Works Department to make arrangements. You may also take the items to the County landfill.
