The Town of Orange Department of Public Works will be collecting leaves placed at the curb for bulk collection beginning Monday, November 3, 2008. Your leaf collection will depend on the side of Town in which you live.
Leaves will be collected on the following schedule:
East Side: November 3 – November 7
West Side: November 10 – November 14
East Side: November 17 – November 21
West Side: November 24 – November 26
East Side: December 1 – December 5
West Side: December 8 – December 12
East Side: December 15 – December 19
West Side: December 22 and 23
Both Sides: January 5 to January 9 Crews will go to both sides of Town during this week to get any remaining leaves that may have been missed or that have fallen after a scheduled weekly pickup.
Please do not place leaves in front of or into storm drains. On streets without curb and gutter, residents should place leaves as close as possible to the property line. Inclement weather (heavy rains or snow) or a heavy fall of leaves may extend the collection period for the affected sides of Town. The last day of bulk leaf pickup will be Friday, January 9, 2008, after which leaves must set out in covered trash cans with handles or biodegradable paper yard waste bags for recycling.
